Starbound Oath

Painted in Adobe Photoshop, an experiment to learn how to work with impasto brushes. A setpiece within a larger world I am building for fun. As the knight kneels and a blade rests on her shoulder, she looks up to see a snake made from starlight, with the same symbols adorning its skin as we see in my other work, Warden's Caress (https://www.artstation.com/artwork/NqQNkg). Similarly, I painted the three diamonds on the blade to correspond with the diamond in the snake's eye of that same illustration. Again, I have a story in mind, but prefer to keep things open to welcome your own interpretation.
